I have an '94 Toyota with a SR5 dash. All the wiring is gone off the oil sending unit because the motor has been changed before I purchased it. It has a sending unit that looks like the first photo, but everyone says to put the unit like the second photo shows. Could anyone help? Also I don't have any idea of wire color going to the unit. I'm guessing you have a 3.0L V6? The second photo is on from a 4cyl. The v6 has the plug on the top of it. I'll go take some pictures.

I have the 2.4 4 cyl. in the truck. It looks like I need the unit like you have. Could you tell me the wire color running to it? I can almost see in the photo. I am going to have to find mine in the harness and splice into it. I am going to need the connector also, any ideas on where to go? Thanks for the help!!!!

that one was looked up for a 91 Pickup 22re at Advance Auto Parts; it lists both options, "With Light" and "With Gauge". This one is with gauge

 

@firsttimeyota - The wire looks to be Yellow with a Green stripe. The wire color is the same on my non-SR5 truck. I just had to research this topic for my truck which has a connector with a cut wire that goes nowhere. If you look in the FSM, you'll find the PDF for the combination meter (/Toyota.4Runner.1990.1995/FSM/toyewpdf/vfewdsou/1995/954runne/systemci/combmete.pdf) where you'll see that the oil pressure sender wire should be Yellow with a Green stripe. The PDF also shows that the wire should run to IH2 "ENGINE WIRE AND COWL WIRE (RIGHT KICK PANEL)" on pin 11. There are links in the PDF that will show the location of IH2 and it's pinout. I was able to stick my head in the passenger side front wheel well, look straight up in line with the sender and see a single dangling wire that was Yellow with a Green stripe underneath it's wrapping. I verified continuity from IH2 pin 11 to the dangling end then spliced the connection. I hope this helps.

 

This is the print I have been using. It shows a Yellow with Blue as wire color and point C2 is under the passenger side kick plate. I didn't know what the 11 was for beside it, but after your post it must be the pin number. I can find the wire up on the passenger side harness, but no where after that. I guess it's time to splice into it and give it a try.

I am not sure what your asking. The point in the harness that I am looking at has many wires and it does have the Yellow with Blue that the print shows. The harness goes over to the EFI and I can't see anything after that. Page 2 of that print shows the water temperature being Yellow with Green and that is accurate for my truck. I just want to be sure when I splice into the wire what it is doing, so I don't make my situation worse.

 

I can't access the link you posted. I did my splice today and took some pictures that I think show what you're looking for. The left is a close up view of the right. The blob of yellow is where the oil filter is located. The blob of blue is where the OPS is located. The blobs are the same color as the wire. (Eyes must be going cause I was sure it had a green stripe) If you notice on the left, there is a plastic wire wrap at the top where the OPS wire should exit from the harness. This should trace back to the right hand kick panel. Hope this helps.

The wire is broken off the top of my connector right where it goes into the plug. I can't get the plug apart to splice in a new connection.

Where can I get a new plug? There's a number on mine (looks like 11363) if that means anything.

 

Did you ever find out where you could get a new part 11363 the wiring connector? Mines has broken and can't seem to locate anywhere?

 

Can anyone help. I have a 1994 toyota tacoma 3.0 l efi. The oli pressure sending unit has stopped working due to the fact its the wire has come away from the plastic electrical connector that sits on top of the unit. Where can i get a new connector? Or can I use any kind of electrical connector? It is the part 11363 that i am talking about.

 

The Toyota dealer parts number for a replacement plug-in for the wire going to the oil pressure sender for the 92-95 22RE or 3.0 V-6 oil pressure gauge on a full SR-5 cluster on the newer style pic below is... It's a 2 part/piece setup.
90980-11363 $6.75<that's just for the white plastic female connector.
82998-12440 $6.87<The metal contact that's already attached to the wire that slips into the rear of the connector that you need to get with the plug-in...

 

My oil pressure sending unit is still working, it is just the plastic connector that I need to reconnect the wire to the unit. Where did you get the unit from? Can't seem to find them anywhere.

 

I get all my parts at local Toyota dealership parts department so I know there right part by my vin number, As I said on my post, they are the Toyota dealer part numbers...Go and give them the parts numbers and they'll help ya out!!!! Good luck!!!!

 

When I bought truck it had a turn on the dash light OPS on the block but the connector part on it was busted off, and there is a dangling wire with the end gone off of it. There is no other wire I can see anywhere near the OPS than the one with the end connector gone and it's a yellow with a green stripe, it's coming out of the wiring harness that goes back to transmission and since truck has no speedo cable I assume that bundle of wires goes to the wiring behind the instrument cluster. Here are the pics I took when I got truck and started removing the engine...Is this the OPS wire or not?

well it is confirmed that the single wire (Yellow with green strip) (I have a 93 truck) that was coming from the wires loom going/coming from the transmission is the oil pressure guage/warning light wire, I put on a new connector for my new oem oil pressure gauge sender unit on that wire since it was the only wire not being used and the connector was gone on it and so was the top of the oil sender and waa laa my gauge on my new used dash cluster shows pressure!!!! woo hoo!!!!

 

Does anyone have a good wire diagram for the ops or whole wire harness for that matter? I can't find where the ops wire goes into the ecu or if it even does for that matter. Any help will be great.

 

I lost my serpentine belt, drive belt, timing belt whatever Got the Belt did the repair on the road next day I noticed my oil pressure gauge did not work during the repair I saw a wire did not go anywhere gray cable yellow wire but it’s not there now. I did not take my belly pan off can’t see next to the oil filter if there is a sending unit there if so does the wire go from the sending unit down to the bottom left-hand corner of the oil pressure switch down near the bottom of the engine . I have a Toyota tundra 2002 SR5 V8 Can’t find a wiring diagram anywhere
