I have an 86 4runner that blew a head gasket and sat for about 6 years. I just put on a new head and gasket set, new fuel filter, new fuel pump, new injectors, and drained the tank and put in new gas. It will crank only if I spray starter fluid into the intake and then it dies once the starter fluid is burned. All the injector connectors show 12 v on each wire. I put a noid tester on the connectors and they are not pulsing when I turn the engine over. I jumped the diagnostic connector and get codes 7 and 11. Any help on how to figure out why there is no injector pulse would be greatly appreciated.

The wiring harnesses are notorios for having breaks at the connections. You might start testing continuity at the injector and work your way backwards. They fire two at a time so it's a bit unusual that none of them will pulse. Of course I'm not sure if the engine will run on just 2 cylinders; I'm guessing not.
