Does my 5spd 3.4 '00 taco NOT have a r150f?

Ok so I ordered the heavy duty marlin shifter seat and socket for my 2000 3.4 5spd taco because my shifter felt sloppy and is sometimes hard to get into 3rd and will pop out of 1st every now and then.

So when I was installing it today, I pull out the shifter and replace the socket, then look down into the tranny and notice this:

"Hmm" I thought to myself. "Where the **** is the seat supposed to go?" My first thought being that I ordered the wrong part, then I stopped and thought about how when was doing this for my 89 4rnr and 84 pickup, the tranny innards looked nothing like that. So please tell me I'm just crazy and tired and that the shifter seat is supposed to go somewhere in here, or do I just have different tranny in this thing?

You know what? I think these 3 days of no sleep have gotten to me... Gonna run out to the garage and pull apart the shifter!

You're the same age as I am kitten. And I knew that... I was just testing yall...

Maybe I should pick up drinking again, seems like my intelligence has dropped with the lack of alcohol for things mechanical related...

Got it. That lock collar was a PITA to get back on. Ended up filing off a little bit of the ear so I could force that damn thing back on. Shifter feels gooooood now.

Speaking of which, who died and made you a mod?
