2wd auto-manual tranny swap

ive read many 4wd tranny swaps 4cyl and 6cyl. I searched, but am not able to find a write-up for a 2wd. My truck is a 1989 2wd v6 with the a340.

I kno i need an r150 and everything else.

But what im asking is can anyone offer any other advise that has seen this swap before?

I have thought about doing that to mine but it is too much work from my point.

Why do you want to do it?

The tranny swap shouldnt by too different from a 4x4 just less stuff to hook up.

I am considering doing the same thing to my 2wd truck.

You will need the trans, pedal bracket assembly, master and slave cylinders and line, flywheel, clutch, pilot bearing, etc. I would also swap the gauge for an SR5 gauge to get rid of the PRND2L.

I know there are a couple of people on here that have done it but have not seen a writeup. http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=66 h

If you have an extracab you will need the front half of the 2 piece driveshaft from a manual truck.

I would try to source everything from the same truck if possible.

Good luck.
