Need info on 1994 4Runner Factory Alarm (TVSS)

I want to uninstall the dealer-installed alarm on my 1994 4Runner. It was installed by a dealership in Cobb Co. Georgia by the previous owner, but I can't find any information on it. I think the system is called TVSS: Toyota Vehicle Security System.

There is a red led on the dash, and an on/off toggle switch right next to the hood release lever. I'll post some pictures later today.

You could just go to a car stereo store that sells alarms and have them un-install it, it might be some $$ but its always an option. Then if they mess anything up you can go yell at them.

I don't think the toggle switch is part of the factory alarm. My 93 has a switch next to the LED for cancelling the horn beep on arm and disarm. They might have changed in 94, but I don't think so. What do your remotes look like?

The factory alarm has a little box velcrod to the floor under the driver seat.

That thing looks like it wouldn't even fit in your pocket.
