$20 Good Looking Snorkel

So here's my free snorkel i already had the pvc and elbows.

Didnt want to put it outside cause trees dont play nice. Some of you may be concerned about the looks so here is a subtle cheap snorkel idea.

I used the stock carb airbox and stock intake hose, just put some pvc on it

You could go a little more subtle like in the glovebox or something. But i just went up here

Then i sealed the airbox onto the carb and got a little grommet and new wing nut (never had the OEM nut)

i spoke to soon... in the other thread..

Interesting.

you seal the distributor cap?

I just unhook mine from where it pops into the front grille and then bend it back kinda like how you have it but not that far and zip tie it aiming towards teh firewall before i plan on hittin any kind of water. The carbs don't produce crap for vaccum in that intake but you'd be surprised how easily water actually does find its way up that thing. I learned the hardway. ha

Yeah i've never inducted water but i've flooded the dist. i figured thats as close as i wanna get to the stock intake.
Dist. has a vent hose that takes it high and dry, zip ties on the plug boots, and an RTV o-ring

And the carbs actually do create a ton of vacuum power.. maybe its just cause its a small tube but its got more than my shop vac
