Questions about supercharging

And yes i searched i couldnt find a direct answer to my questions.

I found a 1st gen supercharger with everything needed to install on CL for $600. It did state it will need the nose cone rebuilt and the rotors have 50k on them. would you jump on this and rebuild it??? If so where can i get a rebuilt kit?

As for fuel, Would i be able to get by w/o any fuel upgrades using the stock boost. You would think toyota would design it to where you would not need much until you start tweaking and running a bigger pulley. So i wouldnt need a 7th injector kit and the stand along ecu on stock boost would I?

Anyway, im really thinking about this and it could be awesome.

If you don't do any fuel mods, you stand he chance of causing premature wear on the engine itself and may get some pinging, plus you won't get the best performance out of the supercharger without the fuel upgrades

Thats exactly what i was thinking, Im in a argument with my buddy who is trying to talk me out of it by telling me theres a whole more to it then bolting it up. Your gonna need a whole new comp to control everything, with a motor with 150k its not a good idea aka going to destroy the life span. I was under the impression there would be nothing else needed, such as a different computer, until i start pushing the boost which is when i would need all the URD stuff. Is that correct? From what ive read i beliveve so. As for the life span yes its not going to help it but as long as everything is taken care of it shouldn't shorten it should it?

well i am new to the whole supercharger thing but i've been reading about them whenever i'm not working. first my 4runner has 240000 miles. supercharger has 60-70,000. it runs better then any 22re or 3.0 i've ever had. look for the install directions its got alot of good info.

You could probably get by with no fuel upgrades but I wouldn't do it long. I'd try and get atleast the 7th injector and you should be set.
