84-89 4 runner seat track cable ..

so # 72210-89105 seat track cable has been discontinued here in Canada .. they cant even bring them in from the US , if there still avaliable there ?

so i'm wanting to build one .. and dont have the old cable to use ... not even sure on how it's hooked up .

does any one have a DETAILED picture of the cable on the seat ? .. and not looking for toydiy.com pic but an actual seat bottom pic ...



any help appreceiated .

Same here , I think I'm missing more than just the cable . I could use the pictures also the whole underside of the seat .

The pictures I took was of my 88 4runner seat , I just went out and looked at my 85 4runner seat and there is a spring where RMA had circled,my 88 is missing the spring I never noticed that before.

ahhhh yes ... this makes perfect sence now ...

the spring is what would actually pulls the seat forward when the leaver it "tripped" DOH !!!!

my 88 4runner aso has a butchered underside of the passenger's seat......missing the lever that would let the seat slide front to back also...any ideas

so as it turns out ...

OE has re-introduced the production of the cable ... they are avaliable again (wierd) .. my parts guy says they are starting to reproduce some of the old stuff again , disscontinued #'s are popping up "avaliable" again .. I just ordered one locally . Price is much more .. about double of what it use to be .. but it's avaliable

wow a year later and im just now getting to this thing, well the pics in this thread help a bit , now i think im missing more than just the cable.
