3RD ANNUAL CHICAGO TOYOTA JAMBOREE @ THE CLIFFS CTJ09 July-24/25/26

Updated 3-10-09

3RD ANNUAL CHICAGO TOYOTA JAMBOREE @ THE CLIFFS CTJ09 July-24/25/26
THE CLIFFS INSANE TERRAIN OFFROAD PARK, MARSEILLES IL.
JULY 24, 25, 26 2009

CAMPING
$7/night reduced form last years $10
At the cliffs up in the park on one of the bluffs over looking the river.
Port-o-pots will be provided.
PRIMITIVE

WHEELING
$30 for the first day. (includes one raffle ticket and all you can eat BBQ on Saturday night.
$10 for any additional days, so will be a cheaper weekend than normal Cliffs rates.
$5 for additional passenger
Friday: Free roam of the park.
Saturday: Drivers meeting at 9am SHARP! Guided trail runs: easy, moderate, and extreme. Free roam.
EASY = stockers welcome.
Moderate = 31” tires. Scratches are a possibility.
Extreme = expect anything! Rolls and massive body damage are possible.
**There will likely be a moderate/extreme group**

NIGHT WHEELING
The truly awesome part of this event is the night runs. The park is completely different at night. The Cliffs is nice enough to allow us to wheel the park at night. The runs MUST be guided by Cliffs approved guides and no alcohol is permitted on the runs, nor are impaired drivers. We hope to have enough rigs to allow for multiple groups of varying difficulty. So get those rock lights installed!

FOOD
Saturday night will be an all you can eat BBQ. The regular stuff.
Saturday Morning will be breakfast at 8am sharp. Don’t know what’s on the menu, but last year was sausage, bacon, eggs, etc… $5.00/person.

MAGAZINE COVERAGE
We are currently working with a couple magazines. More info later.

RAFFLE
More info coming.

Last year was a huge success especially with the new camping site. If you made it out for 2007 and missed 2008, you missed a lot of changes!

I remember you. Going to put any armor on this year?? That way you wont have to worry about rubbing any trees on ten. By the way, Im the one with the silver 88 4runner with the top off if you remember.

Are these the trees you’re referring to…

I really could use some sliders. Did you at one time have a gray 2nd gen 4Runner or am I thinking of someone else?

That sounds like a fun time, I'm going to try and make it. You don't have to preregister or anything do you?

Car bon da lay. You a local or student? Racedirt and I are alum. Dont have to register. Just show up ready to wheel. For some advice you should have atleast AT's, MTs being recommended. Otherwise you can expect some body marking if its not dry.

haha quatros check winston check. He's still around and kickin, though i think he posts up over by pinch now. Did you know that the roof of hanger 9 collapsed over the winter?!?! It's just sitting there with the roof caved in, they took most of the bar out but that's all they have done. Well that's the SIU update, and oh yeah I'm a student in the auto program by the way and i graduate in may, so this trip should be no problem. I'm from Arlington Hts otherwise.

Nope, it was Hanger 9 when I was there. I spent a ton of time in that place, good see Paglia's is still around also. Boobies in the summer and Hanger and Sidetracks in the winter. Man I miss Carbondale - I graduated back in '96.

At least I have until the end of July to get some mods done! I'm pretty much stock now except for 265/75/16 tires. Hoping to get some rock sliders and a locker, maybe a lift too.

I'm looking into getting a locker also. I've been reading a lot of threads about them and would like a lunch box style locker since I can't afford a selectable one. Anyone have any suggestions? Aussie sounds like a really good one how much do they run? Detroit lockers seemed a bit more expensive then the rest. What do you think?
