Wow, my engine was bad!!

So I just got back from my engine guy and he just got through disassembling my engine. He told me that it was about to go out, so it was a good thing I had brought it in. All my bearings were worn to the brass, Somehow sand got into my engine, and tore up the pistons, so thats why I was burning so much oil! Also my engine was running so bad it had pitted the exhaust valve seats on the head!!

I was complaining of lack of power and he said that this should make the truck run awesome!

So for $2200 I get 3 year 36,000 mile warranty, thats removed/rebuild/reinstalled price, from a guy thats shop is called fosters toyota 4x4 repair, and has a junkyard of only toyota 4wd trucks and 4runners!

Nice. that's a heck of a deal
the PO of my truck had a Jesper motor(rod through the block) put in and it was like $4000. He gave me all the paper with the truck.

You have to stop that. You'd be surprised what folks will believe...... now where is that "tornado" thread with the "water injection" appendix...........

Yeah, he is a cool guy there is a 85 4runner there now with 42 inch TSLs!!

Oh and I forgot to mention, my timing chain was fine, but there was parts of the origonal guide in the pan blocking my pickup to my oil pump? Someone had changed it before i got the truck, and left the parts of the guide in the pan!!!

I have two of the bearings one main and one rod, Ill take some pics and post them either tonight or tomorrow!

Yeah, thats why I went with him!!! He is a cool guy, evertime I go up there, we just talk about toyotas!!

Yeah I dont know what the sand came from, I have always ran an air filter, probably the previous owner, obviously he was an idiot, because I have already replaced the manual tranny and now the engine!!!

Decent price, but with that kind of warranty, hard to beat.

I can build one here for about $750 in parts/machine work. Typically about $1700-2000 installed depending on variables.
