Question Check engine light help on 87 4runner 22re

Hey all, I have a 87 runner 22re and have replaced my o2 sensor 3 now. And I keep getting code 5 o2 sensor signal. It only comes on mainly on hwy/freeway when at a very steady speed/rpm. It I hold it at a steady speed and gas pedel position the engine light will stay on until you have to let off the gas completely or have floor it it accel. ???????????
Any help would be great, thanks....

What brand 02 sensor?

Aftermarket header? I got a CEL light when I held steady rpms with an aftermarket header since the o2 sensor bung was moved further down into the cooler exhause flow so the readings were obviously different.

how long after replacing the O2 sensor does the issue occur? I mean is it okay for a week or month then starts throwing the CEL or is it right after changing it like the first time you drive it after replacing it?

Only Denso OEM of course. I will have to try moving the o2. Will that trick the computer? Now I have stock manifold. One guy told me it could be my egr causing this problem. The color of the o2 sensor is good it's a light brown color!
