I have an 87 Pickup Independent Suspension no Lift. Passanger Tire at the bottom is leaning out really bad. Once in 4x4 tire shakes bad. Is there something in the Independent Suspension that wares out and causes tire to lean. Or could this be Ball Joints, Wheel Bearing, Etc. I have no Independent Suspension Knowledge everything will be helpfull.

 

Camber (leaning) is adjustable. You can get an alignment or do it yourself. Search "driveway alignment"- I did a writeup a while back.

 

you say it shakes in 4wd... but not in 2wd?
sounds like wheel bearing or lower ball joint

 

Odd that it shakes in 4wd, and not in 2wd as well. Could also be the idler arm. Additionally, one of your adjusting cams could have come loose on the passenger side as well - happened to me right after I got an alignment done at a 'professional' shop

 

I should have clarified. If the bottom of the tire was leaning way out and you had your torsion bars already cranked, then you've CV would be operating past its operating angle and it would be binding up, causing the bad vibration.

 

How long has it been like this? Since you got it? After wheeling? etc.....

 

I done really remember when it exactly started this. It has been getting worse as time goes on. It is to the point now were I wont drive it till it's fixed. There is no kind of bind in the 4wd it works fine. If you are standing outside the truck while in 4wd in the mud or sand spinning the tires over the tire shake back and forth like is about to come off. I don't think an alignment will fix it something is definetly wore out.

 

Wheel Bearing? Spindle Bushing? Just thought I'd throw those out there
