Clutch ?

This weekend my clutch started acting up. When you have the clutch pedal depressed, and barely let out the truck will start going. Also if i have the clutch pedal depressed for a few seconds the truck will start moving, with out releasing the pedal any. I checked the fluid and it is full, I also changed the slave cylinder and bled it. Do you think it might be the master cylinder?

it very well could be the master cylinder, Those parts should be replaced in pairs when one fails the other usually is not far behind. It should not be very expensive i found one on the web for 29.95 in 2 seconds.

yeah, sounds like one of the cly. is it hard to get in gear if you have the stick in a nuetral position, press and hold the clutch in for a little while, then try to go to 1st or another gear? if the seals are leaking pass and letting the clutch back out, you wont be able to get it into gear very easily while the truck's running; it'll just grind gears like the clutch isn't even pressed

After the truck starts moving with the clutch pressed in, if i put it in neutral and let out the clutch and press it again, it will work again until I hold the pedal down for a few seconds.

sounds like it's probably either the master cyl, or a leak, but a leak would be obvious...

I'd suggest flushing the old fluid out, but I imagine you got most all of the old stuff out when you bled the system after installing the slave

I've been meaning to flush mine... my clutch fluid looks like chocolate milk... no lie... I'm waiting for it to just quick working, then I'm going to replace the master, slave, and the little rubber flex line all at once; as I've mentioned before, I'm a "while I'm in there" kinda guy
