I was thinkin about doing something with the cab but still keep it street legal since i payed a good bit for this truck not too long ago and have alot of money in it. I was thinking maybe building a roll cage off of the door pillars or something like that but any ideas on something else would be nice.

 

Are you looking for armor/safety ideas? I'm not a structural engineer but I think for a roll cage to be more then just for looks your going to want to go to the frame rail rather then just pillars. Here's a list of threads on roll cages. If none of those answer your question try searching "roll cage" over at Race-Dezert.com. There's lots of roll cage threads over there.

If your looking for suggestions on stuff to build, design a nice roof light rack that can slide into your bed until you need it offroad. Actually build two, one for me and one for you.

I think your choices are... find a good condition cab and replace it or take it to a good body shop and have them repair/replace back to new. You can replace the front fenders with junkyard parts or some fiberglass replacements. The bed? Either replace with a good junkyard one or flatbed it. Bumpers? Replace with some good offroad ones.

OR find a truck that has the engine trashed and put your in it.

OR part it out and buy something else.

 

leave it like it is with the cab all haggard and what not, take off the bed and build one outta tubing, and i full exo. itll look hardcore hahah jk

well i plan on making something with it since itll cost alot to repair and if i could find a cab at a decent price i would but im kinda limited in the $$ department so for now im choppin the top then i guess ill go from there. I'll post pics as i go.

 

Cut the roof off and build you a roll cage so you soft top it similar to a jeep then half your doors after that like most have said flat bed it and have yourself a nice toy.
