idiot lights in dash stay on

Hi guys, had something weird happen today while changing headlight bulb. Put new bulb in on passenger side and when I was finished and started truck up, Battery, Brake and Autotrans Temp lights came on and won't shut off. Tried disconnecting battery cables and waiting 10 minutes, reconnected, started truck and lights still stayed on. Any suggestions, thanx in advance. 1993 4runner 4wd with auto trans.

Batt and Brake light = Charging light = Alternator not putting out what it should be...

Thought about that too but Battery shows charging on plus side of gauge. What about trans temp light, will that come on when alternator isn't charging as well?

Yep, it'll be the alternator or slipping belts.

Your truck is telling you that you are an "idiot".

Try reading your owner's manual.
