My power steering gear box is leaking very bad, i have a 91 p/u v6 4x4 is there a rebuild kit they sell so i can rebuild it, cause a new one is 3-4 hundred thanks

 

Toyota sells the rebuild kit for your truck, at a decent price. Talk to Strap22 on here and he can get you the rebuild kit.


They show a list price of $128, with your cost being $92.98

I've still been putting mine off, for over a year now

maybe I'll tackle that with my suspention work in a little while!

Wooooo, you can get a rebuilt ps pump for slightly more than the list price.

Is that for the pump or the gearbox?

I have a leak somewhere - guessing the gearbox could stand a rebuild if possible.

 

Except we are talking about the steering gear box, so what does a pump have to do with anything?

ugh im up there with yall with having a leaky gear box. Seems like it would be total PITA to get to the thing and get it out to rebuild it. I seem to leak about 2 quarts a month now steadily getting worse Also what makes it even better is that it coats everything on the drivers side near it with a nice layer of ATF that is near impossible to get off.
