Insurance costs are outrageous!

I'm a little ticked off. Apparently its $200 a month for my 86 to get insured by myself. Thats bull . I'm 18, no traffic violations, no wrecks, nothing. I have motorcycle through progressive and thats $180 a YEAR! After I finish with my manual tranny swap I might have to sell it I can't drive it on the road...so pretty much its a useless vehicle. Anybody else can't drive another vehicle because insurance costs are too high?

I'd deal with $125 a month...but I only make $150 on a good week. lol.

Anyway, I might as well just buy a trailer and haul it on that.

Maybe this is really ignorant, but in the long run, it'd be much cheaper to drive w/o insurance. Not saying I'm going to. But that is how I feel.

I pay about 700 a year combined for Sin91 to drive her 2wd and me to drive my 4runner. When I had the Firebird, Celica and my CX500-TC on the policy, it was about 850 a year for all five vehicles....
Maybe the insurance company has someone with a 'yota on Yotatech and knows about how you drive?

and by the way, male drivers under 25 have the highest rates...
oddly though, most every girl I went to high school with had an accident before graduation and about 1/3 of the guys had one.
probably related to the fact that the accidents the girls had were 'fender benders' and the guys tended to have 'total loss' accidents.

Paid $250 a month When i was 18 for liability on a '92 4 door civic, decided that was too much drove with no insurance (not the brightest idea) cost me $2k in tickets plus a suspended license.

Now i am 26 and pay $100 a month for full coveage on the 4runner and liablity on the mustang. I suggest turning 25 and getting married, it will cause your rates to drop significantly.

Seriously though talk to some insurance agents, i remember having insurance at one point that covered me as the driver for any car i was in and satisfied all the insurance requirements up here in Wa. dont kow if that is available where you are

Off to work now so i can pay all my other absolutely insanely large bills. Not sure what i hate more working overnights, or paying bills?

I don't pay insurance for the 2wd...my mom does. Yeah, I make mistakes. But I believe that the mistakes I make are mistakes that I'll never make again. Yeah, I drive aggressively/defensively, but I am always alert. Maybe that has something to do with riding my motorcycle though. lol.

I see women more of a threat then men. When women pull up to get gas a lot of times they are talking on their phones. And they ask me to "hold on"...I walk away

Maybe I'll tell my mom to pay for my 4x4 insurance and I'll pay for the insurance on my 2wd...haha.

or get rid of one vehicle or the other and deal with it until everyone else thinks you are more responsible?

Is your family open to adoption? I need new parents.

you'll have to move down here though in order to support me.
don't worry though since I've got a 3 bedroom, 2 story townhome.
plenty of room and wireless Internet.
