My brother has a 03 tacoma. Yesterday we were installing a parrot blue tooth. After everything was done we tried to start the car and it wouldnt turn over. just a few clicks. We bought a new battery (the one he had was basically shot) and now it acts like it turns over but it just wont start. The clicking went away with the new battery.

Any ideas as to what to do? I feel really bad that it happened when i was helping him.

Also we removed all the parrot stuff and the car still will not start. All the lights, gauges, etc light up like normal.

One thing i just noticed is that the check engine light and the gas gauge doesnt light up when i turn the key for the first click. Any significance?

 

just my .02 but I would start checking my fuses. If you somhow fried your EFI Fuse you could get those symptoms

 

THanks 87 running. I did check the fuses but it was dark. Just went out and rechecked the EFI and it was blown. You are the man!
