01 taco strut tower bar

Does anyone know of a company that makes one? I've noticed that a few of the tacos around my area has the same problem as I do, the chasis flexes and cracks the windshield. So, I figured if I installed a strut bar, it will help stiffens the front cab atleast to save the new windshield.

Has anyone come across this problem? I dont normally surf the yota forums so I may have missed the fix for this problem.

I tried googling the bars, no avail.

I don't think you will find any bars, the upper part of the struts are outside the engine compartment=no where to attach a strut bar.

I guess the windshield could crack during hard core offroading, but the body would have to flex a lot to actually crack it..

The other possibility is it an aftermarket windshield?...If its factory it will always say toyota on the glass....sometimes the aftermarket ones fit a little too tight...so less eurathane to flex=more likely to crack.

thanks for the pointer. though the local glass shop offers the winshield for $150 installed, i cant afford to continually replace them. i called around to the local 4 wheel parts shops and searched all over the web but cannot find a strut brace or anyone that makes it.

i guess i will have to take the risk...

what kind of offroading are you doing to crack your windshield?
Are they the newer tacos or fj's? They have problems with body parts flexing.
