Ok so i've been looking around for a tube bumper for the front of my tacoma and i really am getting confused. If i was to buy one now and then installed a body lift, what negative effects would this have? Because on most the sites i've looked, it shows the option to buy for if you do/dont have a BL. im lost

 

If you bought one made for no body lift and then installed the lift, you would have a gap between the bumper and the body.
Brackets can sometimes be made to correct the bumper for the body lift

 

so its really just about looks at this point?

 

yes. and i think the gap is pretty ugly. esp on the arb bumpers. that thick upper tube also blocks the headlights when no brackets are used to keep it level to the body

 

If you can metal fab and have access to the tools you can fix the brackets to make it work

 

just get a suspension lift and dont worry about it, suspension lifts are better anyways

 

agreed. i wouldnt run one on mine, even though i could fit the 35s i want to stuff uner it

guess not lol. Anyways, anyone have reviews of diff types of body lifts, which works best. Looking for 3" of lift out of it.

 

Depending on what you plan on using the vehicle for, body lifts can be a good way to lift your vehicle. You dont have to worry about any driveline angles, or longer shocks and its cheap
Suspension lifts with soft springs can even make your rubbing worse
I believe this nissan has a 2inch body lift but you get the idea of the gap
