High Mileage Camry In Need of Maint

Hey guys my buddy has a 95 camry xle v6 with 242K miles. He purchased it with 67K miles and has done minimal maint (oil changes, tires, battery) but It runs amazing.

He's thinking of purchasing a mini cooper cause he thinks that the camry is going to crap out on him. He's an impulse buyer and I'm trying to talk him out of buying a new car when there's plenty of life left in the camry. I briefly looked over it and drove it and the reason he thinks its going out is because of a bad ball bearing. Other than replacing the bad ball bearing what maintenance would you all recommend for him to do? I'm not that familiar with those engines and quirks it might have so any help would be much appreciated.

Here's a list I was thinking of:

Timing belt
Water pump
Spark plugs and wires
transmission flush
coolant flush
brake fluid flush
oil change

Anything else you could add to this list.

if your friend is already looking for another car and doesnt want to fix his camry then let him do it. nothing you say will change his mind from wanting something 10 years newer.

I need advice on two items: My Camry 6cyl 2000 at 65000 miles -- does it need timing belt change now or at 90,000. Car runs very well now. Also, Toyota dealer says the front exhaust pipe is #developing leak" and says it will cost @$2100.
HELP! ...please.
