Wiper problem
Well driving home from coffee tonight my wipers decided to quit working on me. I changed the blown fuse on the side of the road but they still won't work. I pulled the motor apart when I got home and it was fine. Hooked it back up nothing... This is annoying. I think it's the switch now because the washer doesn't work either. Is that a dealer only item or is there something I should know about these switches that I can fix instead of replacing it. Dealership's not open on Sunday

Look in a manual, there is only 4 wires going to the motor.
1 is always hot (it allows the wipers to park)
1 is hot from the switch
the other two are weird and I really don't remember! but I had a bad wiper problem and ended up having to redo one of the hot wires to the motor and they've worked fine since.

www.4crawler.com or wabfab might be able to get you on your way. shoot either of them a pm and see what they have to say.

Well i've narrowed it down to a hot wire issue. If I supply power to the switch everything works fine. I just don't know which wire to replace. If I take the fuse out and use power from there only the washers work, wtf?

The washer motor recieves power before the wiper motor itself.. They are fed off the same wire.
I was deep into the guts of the wiper system last night, trying to fix my wiring issues, so its pretty fresh.

I ended up getting one of those 'add a circuit' fuse holders that let you plug in a fuse and add another fuse and wire. I ran a new hot wire, got my wipers to work and haven't looked back as to why I had to ground the original wiper hot wire to get the speedometer to work!
