Electrical problems - no spark

Hey everyone,
Last weekend I was working on my car, all I changed were headlights and spark plugs, went to start it up, and nothing, no spark. Coil, igniter, distributor cap, rotor, and fuses are good. Any ideas?

All I can think of is to make absolutely sure you got the right spark plugs, and that every wire is completely "snapped" in on the distributer and coil.

Well, there is no spark getting to the distributor, so it can't be the spark plugs, and I know the wires are on right.

Ok you didn't mention that in your post. So what do you know for sure? More info helps. If you're not getting spark to the distributer, the problem could be the ignitor or ignition coil, but maybe you tested those, and that's why you say they're fine? Internet diagnoses are hard, but even harder when we don't know what you've checked out and done exactly. Does it crank, and just no spark so it won't fire, or is absolutely nothing happening when you turn the key?

If all you did on a vehicle that was working fine before was change the spark plugs and headlights, and now it cranks but won't start, or nothing happens at all, and you know the plugs are the right ones for your truck (part store didn't mess up & give you the wrong ones etc.) and you know all the wires are snapped on completely, then I have no idea what's wrong.

How'd you figure that out? Some testers? Glad you got it worked out.

How does a wiring harness just go bad after a tune-up and headlight change.... (kinda funny) sure you bought correct parts....

My truck also doesn't have any spark now and all I did was clean the spark plugs. its either the distributor or coil that is bad I think b/c i'm getting spark to the coil but from there it goes nowhere. Any ideas? what wiring harness did you switch out?
