Quick Power Inverter Question

Do I have to ground the power inverter straight to the battery or can I ground it to the frame? Its 1200 watts, nothing major.

1200 watts is a quite a bit on 12 volts... It draws 100 amps. I would use a dedicated ground wire. (I did on my 1000W inverter.)
