Ok techies. Can we figure out what this un-connected connector is for?
with the least amount of 'noise' ??
I'm just trying to help out a friend.

exhaust gas recirculation temp sensor?
on the top-left of the pic, on the back side of the intake manifold, on some models, there would be a temp sensor where the EGR manifold enters the intake manifold, and would have a temp sensor.

Ya what he said, I think. All I know is that all of my 22RE's have the extra plug. Not needed.

yay!!!

now if someone could show ME where the knock sensor plug is on my 91/Cali emissions...
...I've got everything hooked up and only 1 plug without a socket... and its location based on where it splits from the harness and how far it reaches puts it on the plate with the 3 other VSV's mounted on top of my valve cover.

... okay maybe two plugs, but the other one is only a few inches in length (the wiring) and is next to the CS Time Switch and the Coolant Temp sensor....

/me lolz

I'm of no help here...I know little to nothing about the Cali setups.
