I think NUMMI is the Toyota Plant in California.

Is the one built by TMC worth the extra money???

So, TMC = made in Japan

Nummi = made in USA (by UAW?)

 

I'd venture to say that the domestically produced engine is for all intents and purposes the same as the imported one, and the difference in price is probably attributable to import costs, duties, etc. and possibly parts sourcing.

Interesting though that the applicable model years is 92-94... what's different between a 91 and a 92, or a 94 and a 95 22re short block?
