Will This Front Diff Work On My Truck?

i have an 87 pickup ext cab with 22rec engine. found a front diff out of a 87 single cab pickup with a 22r engine in it for $100. will this diff still work even though the engines are different? also it came stock with 225/75R15 tires which is what mine came with.

As long as the gear ratio is the same yes it will work. All 86-95 Toyota Pickup/4Runner front differentials re the same 7.5" Ring gear. Several Gear Ratio's were offered but the most common is 4.10.

it should 22re and 22r --ones fuel injected and ones carbed, the only difference may be the gearing, but i think it should fit, both are ifs

Match the gear ratio, and you will be ok.

5sp trucks used a 4.10, Autos were 4.30. Simple as that
