Typed in Taro in search and came up with nothing but found a thread on this site before about it.

Basically its kinda a re-badged Toyota that VW put there name on and sold to certain parts of the world where Toyota couldnt.

Right, lol, i was confused as to what was going on, but you mostly have it right. Toyota wanted market share in Europe, volkswagon wanted a heavier duty pickup, (larger than their caddy) so they made a deal. Anyways, its weird to me, because there are Toyota pickups all over Europe and the UK, ?? so i don't really understand the venture much. Yeah, this is pretty much the equivalent of the chevy luv or earlier rangers.
