Stripping paint and bondo

I started stripping paint off my truck today, I am using a 3m sponge looking thing from walmart. I used it for about 10 minutes until my drill died and I only got an area about 12"x10" down to bare metal. Also there is some bondo on the truck where the previous owner had flipped it. So I am asking what would be the best way of stripping down to the bare metal?

paint stripper and a wooden spatula. make sure the paint stripper is the gel or paste type or it will just evaporate. if it's hot or sunny out, apply the stripper and cover it with saran wrap and let it do its thing. when the paint has softened and starts to separate from the body, scrape the goo off into a coffee can and dispose of properly. it's probably pretty flammable so be careful what you do with it.
