Weird vibration and thrumming noise in my '92

This is in regards to my 92 Xcab V6. Starting to get a fine vibration and sometime "thrumming" sound when at 30-50 mph. Generally not when cruising, seems most noticeable when taking foot off gas, less so when accelerating. Can feel in floorpan and through accelerator pedal. Engine running fine, trannie working fine. Have had tierod recall stuff done, as well as new front brakes and wheel bearings. Occasionally get "clunk" noise now when taking foot off gas, or shifting into or out of park. All this makes me think this is problem with something like front universal or drive shaft (rather than CV). All looks/feels fine underneath. Any ideas?

u joints may be getting ready to go, and need to check balance of driveshaft.

What do you mean by "front universal"? The tcase end of the rear driveshaft? The diff end of the front driveshaft?

That is unusual - the rear most ujoint usually goes first.

just an 'aside'
if a u-joint is worn and on its way out, the other(s) are probably not that far behind.
