When my 22re was doing this it was a dirty and leaking intake. Take it off and clean it and replace the gaskets. I found the famous black goo inside. Now it never happens anymore. Mine would only die if I was over 3 grand and then just pushed in the clutch and let it fall to idle. It was too clogged to compensate with enough air around the throtle plate to keep it running.

so thats why. The same thing happens to me, but among a bunch of other carburetor issues, so I though it was a carb issue as well.

Check the TPS maybe. And/or like Bill said, clean the intake. get some SeaFoam and run it through the intake and gas tank.

Dude posted like a month ago and gave up........apparently.

A problem with the AFM could also cause this.
