iPhone app for tracking mpg
I downloaded an app called "Accufuel" for my iPhone. You choose your vehicle from the database, and you input data at fillup- amount of fuel, mileage, price of gas (optional) and it keeps a record of this and also tells you your mpg, for the last fillup and the average. It can also keep track of several vehicles at once. My 4Runner's computer said I was getting 17.7, and Accufuel said I was actually getting 14.84. I know its just a fancy calculator, but it is easy, and there are are a few other apps out there that do the same thing.
Just thought I'd give a heads up. They are coming out with some sick stuff for the iPhone!

What would be really cool is if you could hook your iphone up to the OBD2 port and use it as a scanner and get real time data.
Wait...there already is

I can calculate mileage with my $25 dollar Nokia... I don't need a fancy application to do subtraction and division for me. I also get the added bonus of not owning an Apple product.

But then you have to hook up your phone to your truck, then your computer, then your computer....
Seems more like a gimmick than something useful.

That rev thing looks like it will be sweet. Sadly I dont think my 92 has OBDII. I will probably download the fuel app. I know I can do the math myself, but it would be kind of cool to have all the info stored in the phone, and maybe I can access it through I tunes and print it like a spread sheet. It will be kind of interesting with my future propane mod.

Say what? No computer neeeded, just a wireless adapter plugs into your OBD2 port and sends the info to your Iphone.
Yes, for the most part a gimmik, but it would be cool, and you can read your codes when needed.
