High Idle 22R

The idle on my truck is slightly erratic. It sits at about 1200 about 60% of the time and then settles at about 700 - 800 the rest of the time. Sometimes I'll be sitting at a light and the idle will just drop from the high position down to normal. It seems to me that there may be something sticking.I've cleaned the linkages and everything appears to be OK. Any thoughts?
