replaced my universal joint today

What a PITA!!!! The truck has over 203,000 miles on it. It was the factory uj. Needless to say it was a long Sunday afternoon. Lots of heat needed to get the old bearing housing's out. Bored waiting for the Sox' game to start, so I wanted to share.Anyone else do there uj' lately?

yesir, me; I just posted about it last weekend when I did em

and I'll agree with you about the OEM Toyota ones being a major PITA; after 290k miles, things tend to lock together pretty good

Dont remind me, i didnt know mine were bad till my D-shaft wore a hole through my gas tank.
but yeah, i started, got almost done and the zerk fitting broke off of one, then i was trying to get the new one in and realized the flange was bent, so i gave up.
Got the shaft out of drive shaft purgatory the other day.
back one the road !!
