Questions on buying second spare wheel?

I have a 2002, Tacoma, limited, 4x4, with the alloy wheels. The stock tires were 265x70x16, at least that is what the spare is. I now have 265x75x16 tires on the four wheels, with the 265x70 on the spare.

Would it hurt anything to temporarily drive on the spare? On and off road?

Also, I want to buy another wheel, because I go to Nevada and other places where I need two spare wheels.

I want the cheapest wheel I can get that will work. I just called around some tire shops and the 16 inch rim seems to be difficult to find. One shop had a used one and wanted $80, which seemed high?

What is a reasonable price for rims and where should I look other than used tire shops and junk yards?

I'll only need the second spare for one week every couple of years, so it does not need to look nice, just work.

Thanks
Bill

Check ebay. I saw a stock Tacoma 16" spare rim for $40 yesterday.

bill, are you in San Diego or South Dakota? i bought a full size matching alloy rim to match my other 4 and i've got my stock spare just sitting here. but, i doubt that you are anywhere close to iowa to snag it. $80 is expensive, my stock full size matching wheel was only $25 on ebay, but add another $25 for shipping, still pretty darn cheap. i say look on ebay, the yotatech classifieds, and craigslist (post a wanted ad too). good luck.
