Hey everyone I have a 93 5speed 4x4 22RE that is slipping out of first gear on me. I checked to see if the shifter is binding on anything under the shifter boots. Nothing there, was wondering if there is any adjustment somewhere that might help fix the issue. Or is the trans damaged and in need of repairs?? Thanks in advance.

Replace the shifter seat and bushing with marlin crawlers unit. Its hard plastic, much more durable then the oem rubber stuff..

Mine still pops out of 1st every so often, I usually keep my hand on the shifter in first gear.......

 

Thanks Jay351. I have seen a few posts on the Marlin shifter seats and total forgot about that upgrade. Looks like its time to make a few calls,
