2in body lift
hey guys,
looking into getting a 2in body lift here before to long, and was wondering what all i needed to extend like brake lines, steering, etc. and please no bashing on BL's and trying to convince me not to do it. btw any pics of a 2in on 31's would be great.

Any good kit will come with everything you need to extend. Usually its just steering and shifters. Gas filler neck might need to be extended depending on your truck...

a 2" lift... hmm....
if you're buying a commercial kit, then the only things you should have to worry about are the steering column bushing through the firewall, maybe a steering shaft extension, and possibly a radiator relocate kit and bumper mounts. but those should come with the kit.
there may be shift lever extensions as well, but maybe not, and the kit should come with what's needed.
if it's an automatic, you may have problems with that though depending on whether it's a floor shift or column shift- no one I know of makes a kit for column shift.

Read through Roger's info here:

and you will have a good idea of what you are getting into.

cool then....
the brake and clutch lines have coils in them where they transition from the body to the frame so they will expand when you lift the body. the rear brake lines should strech as well so sounds like you'll be golden.

Yes, your radiator will need to be lowered, but like mentioned, any decent kit will include the brackets needed..
Just lift slow, and watch for any wires or cables that are not slack enough.... My battery cables required re-routing for extra length... Just to note...
