Here's what I did today...

I was bored and the wifes car finally pushed me over the edge... So I decided to drive on it... This is the only picture I have right now, my daughter took it (wifes camera was dead) I'll get more if/when the neighbour sends me more...

Without another car next to it I wouldn't even try to put my DD on the Taurus roof, IFS is too tippy.... But I am expecting better pictures farther on the hood...

If I get time tomorrow I may try again with the front and see if I can get the window, but the car is really narrow compaired to the 4Runner.

*sigh* Even if the wife's taurus wasn't running and you couldn't get it running, you could've sold it for parts... now it's worth even less. yeah, carnage is a good frustration removal agent, but common sense says if it isn't broke, don't fix it... and don't break it even more if you don't have to.

I guess... at least you can tell your friends that your wife has a ford taurup

Well here is the list of things that are shot. Most are really nothing to fix, just time consuming.

1. Catalatic converter (wraps around the motor was quoted $750 to replace)
2. Front flex pipe
3. Both rear Struts
4. Both front Rotors
5. Gas tank
6. Main fuel line
7. Needs 2 front tires
8. Tranny slipping
9. Misc wiring issues
10. Major Oil pan leak
11. Rockers are shot behind the plastic
12. Trunk seal leaks
13. Daytime running light module

That doesn't include what I haven't fixed after it was backed into by a moron in a full sized Chev. (hood, latch, fender, headlight assembly)

And I just don't have the time to work on it, my 4Runner, the house (renovations) and an unmentionable brand of 4x4.

3.8L Motor runs great when it gets gas.... Which reminds me, I need to grab the electric fan...

The car is going to a local scrap yard this comming week, I don't have time part it out. We've already got our use out of it. We paid $1150.00 certified and e-tested almost 5 years ago, And we have a new 2007 Caravan comming either later this week or early next (had to seat at least 7, I tried to talk my wife into a short bus but she can't/won't drive standard)

And if you are wondering why I let it go this long, it's because we decided after my wife was pregnant with our last son it was time to get a van - so we said drive it till it pukes... And we did...

She didn't say anything and not mad, just like I didn't say anthing when she did it to my near perfect 86 5.0 that she accidentially hit. (86 Mustang Hatch back, 420hp (dynoed) carbed 302 , long tube headers, plumb crazey purple, Grey GT interior, lowered, 4.10 geared/locked 8.8)

Besides she's getting an 07 Caravan.

That is sick dude. I have dreamed of doing that to a junker.

Gotta get my old POS to the point where it's actually feasible though.

Yes it is... Too bad that mine turned out more like pea soup.... Maybe this fall I'll repaint it, that's if the rain ever stops...
