3rd gen Manual (5 speed) tranny flush---T-tech machine necessary?
Guys,
Hope this is not a dumb question so here goes:
I haven't seen this topic discussed. For a 5 speed, manual transmission, do you need to flush it w/ one of those t-tech machines that Gadget recommends for auto transmissions?
I don't have my service manuals on me so I'm throwing this out to the experts.
Thanks,
Bob

no need for anything fancy, just drain and refill. If you're paranoid, you could drain/refill a few days later to ensure you flushed the crud out, but no gadgets necessary.

Also its a smelly messy job. Once is enough per year. Don't forget to clean the "gear dust" off of the magnetic drain plug. If you find suspiciously large nuggets in the dust or half a C-clip or something then its time to worry.
