seat of my pants......PLEASE HELP

ok, a bit frustrated and need some help here guys..

My 95 is vibrating in the seat and rear end (not steering wheel) and its driving me crazy... Definitely feels like a rolling problem..tires are good and balanced, brand new u joints(thats when this NEW vibration showed itself), mechanic said he tightened the pinion nut while doing the work..would that matter? its like a roaring
I try to fix something and something else goes wrong...chasing my tail, goin in circles..this truck has been a real frustrating vehicle lately......

can anyone help me zero in on the issue?
thanks

check u-joint timing on the drive shaft, transmission mounts, driveshaft balance and tires are "true" (the tread is perfectly round)

If you had someone do it, can you go back to them and let them know?

I may be wrong but tightening the pinion may have been a bad idea. Those things are set to a spec.

How many miles?

Take it back to your mechanic. That's what you paid him for.

You can retighten them up without problems.....as long as it was retightened to spec. A little over wouldn't hurt, but yeah...way over would.

I agree. Take it back to the mechanic!!!

thanks guys, I will call him monday morning and see what he says... He is a good one that our company has trusted for years...I feel like he is shooting me straight... If it were bad tires, can you feather the gas pedal to make the vibration come and go? I can do that, kinda "controlling" the vibration if that makes any sense. Any possibility the seat vibration is coming from up front?

thanks
