My 85 4runner new pictures w/33's

Well I finally got my 33x12.5x15 MTZ's and she's looking sweet.
I had to move my axle forward last night. I found a thread that indicated there was a hole on the drivers side perch on my 85 axle all I had to do was drill it out a little larger and match it on the other side for a 1 3/8" forward set. Also had to drill matching holes in the top plate for the U bolt reverse. My $8 unibit set from Harbor Freight got a workout but I did the whole project in about 3 hrs.
Made me really happy that I took the Yotatech advise to mount my IFS steering box as far forward as possible. project for today is move my shocks to the other side of my axle gusset after just moving them to the other side last week #%*^#...

oh man. that rig looks great. i'm sending this pic to a buddy of mine that is redoing an 85 from scratch. as in, p.o. ruined every single part of the truck. this is exactly where he wants to be when its done. all black w/33s. i'm sure this will give him some inspiration, and he could use it.

really super truck bro, nice work.

Great work this 1st gen looks great. I'm looking to buy a 1st gen once I sell my truck and I'm hoping it will look very similar to yours (maybe bigger). Post up some more pics if you have them.

Being a 3" lift it is probably from Rough Country, my buddy has it on his 85' with 33's. Except he cut the fender a bit instead of moving his axle forward but o well... anyways this lift does alright, better than procrap, but nothing special.

Nice truck btw, I have always loved the first gens, love the black on black on black Lets see some pics of it in action!

Thanks everybody,
Well it's really "midnight blue" and has 3" downey springs in front -just swapped, and 3"rough country rears.

The Marlin bumpers are the best! easy install good fit great quality....

We are headed to Colorado in a couple of weeks so I will have some good trail pics soon, this new setup really flexes well. I think the extra shock length with the Rancho RS999179 matched w/ the hysteer was worth the $$$

Next on the list is an inverter install so my wife can dry her hair when we are camping.... yea I know!
I have the windshield trim removed and windshield masked off so I can put a black silicone seal around it for trail proofing. I hate it when you rip trim off on limbs. If it turns out I will post up some pics.
Next year maybe a 3.4 swap
