Idle for V6 4runner

Idle for V6 4runner
Hi All,
I did a search and found that yes the idle should be at 800 RPM +/- 50 RPM. What I don't know is, is that idle when the vehicle is in Park or Neutral or Drive? In Park or Neutral, I got it to about 800 RPM but when I shift to drive without moving (ie my foot on the brake) the RPMS drops to 500-600 RPM with no rough idle.
