87 22re in a 94
This kind of seems like a stupid question, but i'm about to buy an 87 22re in my 94 pickup that has a hole in the block. Will i run into any problems with aftermarket mods like header or anything else, when i look at headers it separates the years to 89 to 95....is this just cause emissions sensors or cause of that way it would fit in.

It would be because of the emissions changes, and frame/body clearances.
As long as you only use the long block from the 87, you will be fine. A 22RE is a 22RE (strictly long block speaking)

you cannot swap a "complete" engine. The intakes are different, as are the exhausts. Like i said, the long block is exactly the same ie Valve cover to Oil pan
Just swap the intake, wiring, etc etc from your 94 on to the 87 engine. Then the header will be fine!
