Dumb@$$ of the year award goes to me
Hey guys I was poking around the forums and saw something about cleaning mass air sensors and though it would be a good Idea to clean mine. So I went out and started unbolting my airbox to get to the sensor and while I was doing all this I undid 2 screws behind the plug going into the box. I slowly pulled this away about a half inch before I realized what I had done. I ruined my airflow meter. Called the stealership and they want $500 for the part!!

My hopes is that there is an online source I haven't found to get these much cheaper used maybe. Or a swap from a different vehicle that will off some t
ype of performance increase. I figure If I am going to blow a bunch of cash might as well get a few pny's out of it. Thanks for the help

Sorry about what happened. We have all done something stupid. You have a VFM (Vane Flow Meter), not a MAFS.
There are many Toyota Wholesalers that could cut you a deal. Seach on google and you will find something. Give TOR (Todd) a buzz and see what he can do.
Good luck!
