So mabey someone can point me in the right direction. This clunking has been happening for about 2 weeks, mabey 3. When i hit a bump it clunks. If i bounce the back of my truck up and down it clunks. Ive had someone bounce it for me and it sounds like its coming out of my bumper but theres nothin there to make the noise. I checked the shock and its not loose. but it really seems like its coming out of the driver side bumper cap. Ive looked and looked and cant see anythink. so i was thinking i was over looking something. its annying and embaracing. everybody that rides in my truck is like what the f@$k is that noise. so please help me figure out what this crap is.

Is the rear sitting lower than normal? It sounds like you're bottoming out, rear coils may need replacing.

 

its just starting to get the saggy ass disease. but the noise is only on the drivers side and you dont have to bounce it that hard to get the noise. Im going to pay it off by the first of november if all goes well and im gonna start exploring options for upgrades, but if i have to replace the springs and shocks i will go ahead with the bj spaces and OME stuff all around i guess.

 

is it your jack in the back panel

 

my jack is under the drivers back seat. but it kinda sounds like something knockin around in my little storage compartment. but ive already taken everything out of it and the noise is still there.

 

it was my tail pipe hitting my bumper. so i had a new muffler and tail pipe put on. problem solved
