'84 2WD rear diff' on '87 4WD

Will this will bolt up if I swap out the axle shafts? Wondering if the wheel bearings will match up too since the 4WD's are shot. If so, I'd like to yank those out as well. Also curious if the leafs will bolt.

I got the old 2wd to replace my 87's body, interior and engine, but now my axle's gone to hell as well.

Thanks.

I think the 2wd uses a 7.5" ring gear diff - 4wd uses an 8" ring gear, so it won't work in your rear housing. You might be able to swap the entire axle, but you'll lose some drivetrain strength (if it's even possible) - take a tape measure and start comparing from one truck to the other
