Lookin for a good vendor for 3.0L V6

Seized up my '91 runner, been searchin this site for two hours looking for a thread on it, but haven't been able to find a quality engine for cheap. As much as I'd love to do a 3.4, funding won't allow it, plus I don't know what else I'd need besides the engine. Please direct me to a cheap quality engine

cheap and quality do not go together. you get what you pay for in the engine business. do you want used or new? where are you located and whats your budget?

Near Seattle, WA. I'm fine with used if it's <90k roughly. Budget's around $1800.

I was going to take mine to Jiffy Engine Sales in Marysville. $3000 and you drive it there, drop it off, and then drive it home all rebuilt. Then I thought about it, and decided that I wasn't going to spend all that and have poor performance again. So, I got a 2RZ (142HP/160TQ)complete for $600 and it is getting swapped into my truck along with a R151F turbo tranny, six-puck hi performance clutch, and a dual ultimate crawler setup. With all the parts and labor I should be a little over my original $3000 budget.

As much as I'd like to, I'm not tryin to build a crawler. I've got a '91 with 4" susp. and 33's, just tryin to get it back on the road. If anyone knows a site or reliable shop I can order a used engine, let me know please.

My 3.0 went out as well and I’m really considering these two websites:

www.toyotatruckpart.com = spoke with these guys and they are legit they even pay for pickup of your core exchange.

www.oregonengines.net = ???

I am in the middle of a rebuild on my 3.0. I would recomend just doing it your self if time allows. There is a shop in Centerville, UT. called Metric Motors 801) 295-6999

They can sell you a rebuilt or they inport the used ones from Japan. I would call them about a used one also. when I was looking at the options of rebuild or a swap I spent days looking for a good low cost 3.0 and didn't find any under $1500. If I had to do it all over again I would put in a turbo 22re, I have found a few of them for $600. If you have any questions shoot me a pm.

Less than 90k? Thats a little bit of a pipe-dream for a 1990. Are they out there? Sure. Are they almost impossible to find? You bet.

Have you tried calling Nix99 yet? I hear they offer discounts to YT members, on top of their Excellent service and 99 day warranties.
