Where does my OBD II plug in at??

Where does my OBD II plug in at??

Hey all.. '99 4runner, V6, auto., 4X4.. My check eng. light is about to drive me crazy so I bought a OBD II scanner to find out what's wrong but I can't find where to plug it up at.. Can anybody point me in the right direction.?? My "HAYNES" manual ain't much help... Thanks..

its under the hood on the right side of the intake manifold

On my 96 it's under the dash on the driver's side to the right of the steering wheel pretty close to and behindish the lighter/place to stuff junk area just high enough to be hidden by the plastic.

Surely someone with a 99 will chime in...

ALL OBDII DLC's are required to be within 1ft of the center of the vehicle under the dashboard on driver or passenger side. taco and 4runner ones are on driverside right next to the center console. some models also have the DLC on the intake manifold but many do not.
