Questions:5 speed swap: 89 4urnner 3.0 Auto

I just bought an '89 4runner SR5 3.0 V6 with an automatic. I want to swap the automatic for a 5 speed w/t-case ASAP. I have prior experience installing a 22RE motor, ECU and wiring harness from a '89 4runner w/automatic, into my '84 extra cab w/5 speed. Making the electronics from the automatic 4runner work in my manual tranny'd pickup was pretty simple (except I still don't have the 4wd indicator light or the backup lights. How about putting a 5 speed into the "89 3.0 4runner? The wiring diagrams don't look that different. This 4runner also has cruise control. If I can keep it that would be great. If not, no big deal, but I'd like to hear thoughts on making it work.

In addition to a transmission, transfer case and bell housing it looks like I'd need:
  1. flywheel
  2. clutch (p/p & disk)
  3. T/O bearing
  4. pilot bearing
  5. master cylinder
  6. slave cylinder
  7. clutch fork
  8. hydraulic line
  9. clutch & brake pedal assembly
  10. clutch kill switch (will there be a wire for that?*)

What do you think!!?

* Will the wiring harness have wires for a clutch pedal switch (probably not)?

theres lots of writeups around here, including one of my own you can search thru.

you will also need a rear driveshaft, the correct bolts for the flywheel, crossmember possibly, and there is no need to switch the wire harness or add a clutch kill switch. you just have to connect the two ground wires off the park switch. reverse is relatively easy as well, you have to connect one of the remaining wires to the position indicator on the transmission beside the shifter. the auto harness does not have a clutch pedal switch on it, if you want to use it you will have to use the two ground wires on the park switch.
