Towing a trailer with 7" Lift ???

Hey,

Can you tow a small trailer (2 dirtbikes), with a 4cyl 4runner 5spd, with 4"susp lift and 3" body, 35" tires, and 4.88s?

Will I have any towing problems is my main concern?

Thanks

Dont think you willhave any issues other than needing a good drop in the hitch.

if you keep the trailer under 1000 pounds or so you'll have no problems. just give yourself extra room for braking and corners.
you'll need a receiver with the appropriate drop so the trailer sets level or slightly tongue down. you want the trailer that way because most trailer axles have a slight positive camber to them (the tops of the wheels tip out slightly) and if the tongue is above level, the trailer will have a tendancy to wallow side-to-side at speed
you should also have at least 10-15% of the total trailer weight on the ball (if the trailer, loaded, weights 1000 lbs, you want the tongue itself to weight 100-150 pounds or more) this helps prevent the trailer from wallowing as well.
if the trailer, loaded, weighs more than 1200 pounds or so, I recommend electric trailer brakes be added to the trailer and a controller in your truck.
I see you're in metric country, but you get the idea.

Nah, you'd be fine with that light of a load. Get a 6" drop hitch and you're good to go. Princess Auto sells 'em for about $40.. $20 on sale
